Керамические диски Миздахканских гончаров
Abstract
The article examines the political circumstances of the Southern Aral region at the end of the 14th century and their influence on the material condition of the population. This circumstance is shown against the background of one of the discovered hoards of household items- a ceramic hoard from the Mizdakhkan settlement. It is shown that the opened lid was used as a supporting disc for a potter’s wheel. Various tamgas and signs applied to the front surface of the ceramic disc indicate the existence, in the Golden Horde period, of highly developed production pottery workshops in the Mizdakhkan settlement. However, due to environmental consequences at the end of the 14th and the beginning of the 15th centuries, the population of Mizdakhkan had to relocate closer to the water channel of the Amu Darya
