The article examines the image of Margarita in M. A. Bulgakov’s novel The Master and Margarita as a complex artistic symbol that unites the motifs of sacrifice, love, and spiritual transformation. The study analyzes the heroine’s role within the philosophical and ethical system of the work, identifying the features of her inner transformation and her symbolic function in the structure of the novel. Special attention is paid to the motif of self-sacrifice, the archetypal features of Margarita’s character, as well as the interaction between the sacred and the demonic principles in her artistic representation
