The article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the three main directions of Eastern eloquence — the sciences of ma’ani, bayan, and badi, and their role in social communication. The author highlights the contribution of scholars such as Abdulkahir Jurjani and Yusuf Sakkaki to the development of the science of eloquence, as well as the activities of the companion poet Hassan ibn Thabit in the defense of Islam through the art of speech
