This article substantiates the economic necessity of introducing water-saving technologies in the cultivation of agricultural crops under the complex ecological and meliorative conditions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The efficiency of current financial mechanisms applied in the sector (subsidies, preferential loans, tax privileges) is analyzed.
